I'm planning on capping Feast Corruption for my Necro from arguably the biggest creature in Tyria. (Maw the Mountain Heart) But thats a long ways to travel, so I was wondering. Is there a zone portal between Grenth's Footprint and Snake Dance allowing me to cut the journey short?

I've found him in Spearhead Peak before, big surprise as I was trying to get to Granite Citadel... :S

Yes, Maw does pop up in Spearhead Peak, but very rarely. I learned it the hard way myself: Before I went to the reliable spawn point in Snake Dance I checked both known potential spawn points in Spearhead Peak about 20 times each, to no avail.

Umm, yes, there is. When leaving the Warcamp, just work your way around to the left, go past the quest dwarf on the south end of the footprint and right after you come to the first group of trolls, start looking for a cave that goes off to the left. On the other end of that cave is an exit from Grenth's Footprint. This will get you about half-way up Snakedance.

The portal from grenths to snake dance does exist, but wont shave off a ton of time. Perhaps a few minutes, every little bit counts though eh?

Feast of Corruption is the most difficult skill to cap in the game imo. It took me hours to cap it using henches. I left Camp Rankor and headed north.

I've read that the easiest way to cap it (other than a bunch of friends helping) is to get a droks runner to take you and some henches to the area where Maw spawns.

If you go to the skill listing on this site, there is some really good tips on how to cap this skill.
